The Channel Account Manager wins, maintains, and expands relationships with assigned channel partners. Assigned to channel partners based on geography, channel, or market, the Channel Account Manager is responsible for achieving sales and profitability objectives.

ROLE Responsibilities

  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned partner accounts

  • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel in order to complete order processing

  • Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives

  • Proactively leads a joint partner planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive partner relationship

  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates partner needs on an ongoing basis

  • Sells through partner organizations to end users in coordination with partner sales resources

  • Manages potential channel conflict with other firm sales channels by fostering excellent communication internally and externally

  • Leads solution development efforts that best address end- user needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company and partner personnel

  • Drives adoption of company programs among assigned partners

Required Knowledge and Work Experience:

  • Should have prior cyber-security sales experience

  • 7+ years’ relevant technical field sales experience

  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales quota; experience selling into large organizations

  • Extensive experience establishing and maintaining senior commercial relationships in major accounts

  • Strong business acumen with network of existing customers, partners and business contacts

  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, Zoho, etc)

  • Proficiency in English, Communication and negotiation skills

  • Ability to build rapport with customers

  • Must live in the Bay Area and be able to work from the Santa Clara office, CA

  • Travel up to 30%

This is a customer facing position, which requires strong presentation and communication skills, ability to work under pressure and under tight timelines, as well as good problem-solving abilities.
