The demand for our Axiad ID Cloud solution is doubling year over year and we are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to be actively involved in the design, development, and operations of our unique, highly secure, and scalable cloud identity and access management platform. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive deployment and operation of Axiad ID Cloud 

  • Develop automation to rapidly and safely deploy and manage complex infrastructures of cloud applications at scale

  • Design and implement the automation of every aspect of our CI/CD pipeline and security program

  • Contribute to the creation of system support documents and operational procedures

  • Operate the platform within our security and privacy guidelines

Required Knowledge and Work Experience:


  • Strong Linux administration experience (e.g. RedHat/CentOS) with a focus on web infrastructure (Apache/Nginx/HAProxy/Tomcat), applications, and databases (e.g. Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL)

  • Proven experience leveraging automation and scripting to deploy, monitor, and maintain highly secure and scalable cloud services (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Git, Python, Ruby, Perl, Docker, Kubernetes, Nagios, Splunk, ELK, Grafana).

  • Solid experience with AWS technologies such as EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFormation, ELB/ASG, ECS/EKS, or equivalent cloud technologies

  • Strong understanding of protocols/technologies like HTTP, SSL/TLS, DNS, VPNs, and proxies

  • Understanding of application clustering/load balancing concepts and technologies


  • Strong development experience (e.g. Python, Ruby, Java, JavaScript, C#)

  • Experience with CI and CD pipeline (e.g. Jenkins) and package management (rpm/yum)

  • A passion for building and deploying scalable and reliable cloud services


  • Clear written and verbal communications skills

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Attention to detail, self-motivated, creative and flexible

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or higher), and 3-5 years of professional work experience with online and cloud services

  • Eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship

Bonus Experience:

  • Experience in security best practices, host and network intrusion detection, logging and monitoring (e.g. Nagios, Splunk, Elastic Search, Ossec/WAF, Snort/Sourcefire)

  • Experience using the following technologies: PKI, Kubernetes, sidecars, and Azure
